Students worked at their own speed, got quick feedback, and learned how to use the devices. This helped different types of learners and kept students interested and involved in class.\r\n\r\nThe most exciting part for students was how easy and fun the devices and heart rate activity was for them to work among each other. They liked learning through the technnology and activities instead of just listening to lessons or doing worksheets. It makes learning feel more current and enjoyable, which increases their excitement in the classroom.\r\n\r\nSome students especially like using this new technology, including those who have trouble with traditional lessons. Shy students feel more comfortable participating, and students who need extra help can practice and review lessons on their own. Overall, the technology helps students feel more confident, successful, and engaged in their learning.","fullyFundedDate":1757683099664,"projectUrl":"project/tools-for-focus-building-lifelong-skill/9489907/","projectTitle":"Tools for Focus: Building Lifelong Skills","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Abaya","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-1_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/4194201"},{"teacherId":9129887,"projectId":9621685,"letterContent":"The informational posters are extremely helpful for the entire student body at my school, especially for the students who are learning the English language, on top of learning science topics. The playdoh was used as a fun, hands-on activity for the students to demonstrate their knowledge of the structure of volcanoes. The slides will be used in the future for teaching biology and zoology classes. This will provide an opportunity to learn from real world objects and not from looking at pictures in a book or in technology.","fullyFundedDate":1757536518826,"projectUrl":"project/integrated-science-class/9621685/","projectTitle":"Integrated Science Class","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Carlo","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9129887"},{"teacherId":7747926,"projectId":9491080,"letterContent":"Thank you for donating all the resources for my classroom. They were able to do their notes in different colors to distinguish the different lessons that they did throughout the units. Some of the students were able to color and draw pictures as well in their notes depending on the class that they were taking. We had enough pencils and pens as well for all the students to use.\r\nTheir excitement was instant and loud—the happiest kind of classroom chaos! Several students gasped, some literally cheered, and a few couldn't resist rushing over to explore everything right away. Many kept repeating, \"We get to use these?!\" It was clear that the new materials made them feel seen, supported, and motivated.\r\nRight now, students are moving into the next phase of a project in which they apply what they've learned through hands-on practice and reflection. With the new tools, they'll be able to create more detailed work, collaborate more effectively, and demonstrate their learning in ways that weren't possible before. Over the coming weeks, we'll integrate these resources into independent practice, small-group activities, and a culminating project that allows each student to showcase their growth.","fullyFundedDate":1755728756517,"projectUrl":"project/writing-supplies-to-get-those-notes-done/9491080/","projectTitle":"Writing Supplies to Get Those Notes Done","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Chagolla","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7747926"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_68999","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":528,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":63,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":8,"percentWhite":14,"percentIndigenous":2,"percentLatinx":67,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":57.6,"schoolId":68999,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Peoria Accelerated High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Peoria Accelerated High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/arizona/leona-group/peoria-accelerated-high-school/68999"}
