Students were very excited to make different kinds of bracelets, rubber band ones and pony beads. Students used letter beads to make bracelets for their friends and family. We were limited in the tools we had.\r\nFor this next school year students will be able to get their hands on these materials again. There is still playdoh, beads and rubber bands so they can keep creating after they are done with their projects. Each student is assigned a number which correlates to a storage bag and headphones. Students are taught how to care for their headphones by wrapping cords around and place them into the bag. Bags are stored in containers for each table. Thank you for being a part of mine.\r\n\r\nOne little story--amongst the amazing books that I asked for in this project were books from the series \"A Kids Book About\"--an amazing series that handles challenging real-life issues honestly and a kid's level. No one had really been attracted to these books all year (though there are maybe 30 to 40 of these books in my classroom and they are in a prominent spot). However, when we received these new titles from the series with this project, some of my students started to get curious. And then, a tidal wave of interest. Multiple students were taking stacks and stacks to their tables for independent reading and sharing little reports with friends as they finished.
