They are so sturdy! They seem to be retaining their transparency in spite of all the banging and scratching they receive as we pile them in and out of the cart where we store them. The kids love them! They have been using them for all the usual things: building castles and mountains, making cakes. But one thing I did not foresee is that these are fantastic for when the kids find cool things in nature that they want to observe. Because they are clear, they work really well for viewing bugs, leaves, cool sticks, rocks, etc.\r\n\r\nThank you again for your help in making this happen for my class. Outdoor play is incredibly important for young children. In addition to allowing them to move their bodies, it is a huge part of the science curriculum for them. Observing and exploring nature is science for young children, and these buckets are helping to make that happen. They also encourage creativity and cooperative play, as the children work together to create mountains and cake stores.
