Every month students have a reading challenge they can choose to participate in to build our culture of reading, and having more options in popular genres as well as current reading materials is a further incentive to get kids participating in these events. I have seen so much excitement in the faces of my students as they have gone through the new book displays I have out in the library.\r\n\r\nIn addition to the monthly reading competitions, I have hosted book talks with our English classes where I am able to introduce new books to hook kids. The excitement and enthusiasm around reading has been amazing to see. During these activities, I have students checking out multiple books, which is phenomenal!
