The Kindness Squad was started by some of our fifth-grade students two years ago, and it has grown into an amazing opportunity for all of our fifth graders this year. The project has been instrumental in developing leadership skills and fostering social and emotional growth among our students. \r\n\r\nOur Kindness Squad is involved in a number of initiatives to support the school community. They assist create welcome kits for newcomers to the school—many of whom are from different countries. These kits help them feel not only welcomed but also valued as part of our school family. It's been wonderful to see how much the newcomers appreciate these thoughtful gestures.\r\n\r\nOne of the students' favorite activities is Positive Welcoming Fridays, where they stand outside and cheer with pom poms and clapper hands, welcoming everyone as they arrive at school. The positivity is truly contagious! The energy they bring sets a wonderful tone for the rest of the day, and it helps foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere throughout the school. \r\n\r\nWith your support, we've been able to gather supplies that help bring joy to newcomers and assist with our Friday cheer sessions. These materials are already making a difference, and I know they'll continue to inspire kindness in our students for the rest of the year.\r\n\r\nWe are incredibly grateful for your contribution.
