There has been so much learning going on every day. My students are growing in their literacy, phonics, math and writing knowledge with your help. The most important tools my students have from you are their pencils. Students always have access to a sharp pencil whenever they need one. This alleviates problems and allows for students to focus on their best handwriting and spelling work. My students have been able to do fun and exciting science and baking experiments while making scientific observations using the pencils from you. In addition to this, my students are using the index cards and pencils to create their spelling flashcards each week. They take them home to study and practice the weekly phonics pattern. Other tool we use every day are the expo markers. Students practice their phonics and spelling by making word chains and doing word sorts on the dry-erase boards. \r\nAn important part of second grade is learning how to stay organized. I try to teach my students this skill every year. The colored folders are perfect for teaching organization in each subject area. Students labeled each colored folder with their name and subject area and are required to keep their papers organized in each one. I have never seen so many neat and clean desks this year! \r\nLast, I am so thankful for the tissues, Clorox wipes, and hand sanitizer. They help keep our classroom and bodies clean during the day. The wipes are used daily to clean supplies and desks, and the large sanitizer refill bottle comes in handy to keep our smaller bottles full.","fullyFundedDate":1755908971190,"projectUrl":"project/school-supplies-for-success-and-organiza/9390405/","projectTitle":"School Supplies for Success and Organization","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Geskermann","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp326382_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1453519636126","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/msbidne"},{"teacherId":4382715,"projectId":9430938,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your help giving my students new supplies and things to learn with.
