Technical drafting is taught at our school as a dual enrollment course through a local community college, and serves as the introductory course in to the progression of other drafting and computer-aided-drafting courses. \r\n\r\nUnlike those courses that use computer software, technical drafting is entirely pencil and paper, using traditional tools and methods to teach students the fundamentals of drafting in a way that is very hands on and tactile. Doing that properly means students using a wide array of those tools to accomplish those learning tasks.\r\n\r\nAll those tools and supplies are not cheap, and having enough for all students is something that we can now do because of your generous donations towards the class. For years to come, students who take technical drafting will be able to have a fully equipped drafting kit that has all the tools, utensils, and other devices that they need.
