Your support through DonorsChoose allows us to equip our new space with essential classroom supplies, such as dry-erase markers, cleaner, wipes, and various containers. These materials foster a clean and organized environment, promoting collaboration and creativity among my students.\r\n\r\nOne of the most exciting aspects of this project is the technology we are integrating into our classroom. The computer design peripherals, including speakers, trackpads, and adapters, are game changers for our students. They enhance the learning experience by allowing for more intuitive interactions and increased engagement during game design projects. \r\n\r\nIn our diverse classroom, we have students with varying levels of experience in digital media. Some students, who have previously struggled with traditional learning methods, have truly flourished using these new technologies. This shift not only boosts their self-esteem but also encourages peer collaboration and teamwork.\r\n\r\nAdditionally, I have included an array of snacks in our project, such as cookies and chips. This will not only help sustain my students during long design sessions but also create a more inviting atmosphere in our classroom. With no nearby stores for the time being, these snacks will foster a sense of community and care among us.\r\n\r\nThank you once again for your generosity. Your contributions are making a significant difference in our classroom, and I am excited to see how these resources will continue to inspire creativity and learning in my students. Together, we are creating a space where they can innovate and thrive.","fullyFundedDate":1765650041457,"projectUrl":"project/fire-support-restocking-digital-art-cla/9954615/","projectTitle":"Fire Support, Restocking Digital Art Classroom Supplies","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Paniza","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10183773"},{"teacherId":313238,"projectId":10067654,"letterContent":"Thank you for your generosity in helping me re-stock my classroom after the Palisades Fire of 2025. It is rare for a classroom to receive such high-quality tactile resources, and your contribution provided the foundation for a truly transformative hands-on learning experience. Because of your support, each student had the tools necessary to safely explore a new craft from the ground up.\r\n\r\nWe began our journey by practicing essential whittling techniques on the soap blocks you provided. This was a crucial first step; the soft medium allowed the students to master the \"push cut\" and \"stop cut\" without the resistance of tough grain. It was wonderful to watch their confidence grow as they learned how to maintain proper hand positioning and blade control. Those initial bars of soap quickly turned into a gallery of practice objects (including sea horses, turtles, and elephants), giving everyone the muscle memory needed to graduate to the next level.\r\n\r\nOnce the students moved on to the wood, the magic really happened. Using the skills honed on the soap, they carefully worked the basswood to reveal unique, identifiable objects—ranging from stylized animals to functional spoons and abstract sculptures. The pride on their faces as they sanded down their finished pieces was priceless. We are so thankful for your investment in our creativity; you didn't just give us supplies, you gave us the means to discover a lifelong hobby.","fullyFundedDate":1766290295843,"projectUrl":"project/soap-carving-wood-whittling/9968369/","projectTitle":"Soap Carving & Wood Whittling","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Golad","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9740290_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1755293799390","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9740290"},{"teacherId":10319207,"projectId":10134679,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for the song journals! What was once a bare space is now vibrant, colorful, and full of visual reminders that support the lessons we are learning. The posters help reinforce important concepts, give students quick references during activities, and spark curiosity and discussion. Many of my students have already begun pointing to the posters while working, using them to remember vocabulary, strategies, and key ideas we've talked about in class.\r\nBeyond their academic value, the posters also help create a welcoming and inspiring atmosphere where students feel excited to learn.
