One specific moment that stood out was when a student quietly stopped by on her way to class to grab deodorant and a hair tie. She smiled and said, \"Thank you for having this... it helps more than you know.\" Small moments like that remind us why this project matters.\r\n\r\nWhen students first saw the materials stocked and organized, their reactions were so positive. Some were excited and many expressed gratitude knowing they had access to essentials that help them feel confident and prepared for the day. It created an immediate sense of care, respect, and support within our school.\r\n\r\nAs for next steps, we will continue integrating the Care Cart into our ongoing lessons around self-advocacy, self-care, and independence. We talk often about the importance of showing up as our best selves, and having these supplies available allows students to take small—yet meaningful—steps toward that. Especially because our back table finally became a usable learning space! Before this project, the table didn't have any seating, so it wasn't used often. Students were also excited that they no longer had to drag their large chairs across the room and squeeze in at the table.
