I just completed and submitted the requirements for components 2 and 4. Component 2 focused on Differentiation in Instruction. For this component, I was able to highlight the ways I differentiate lessons based on the students' English Language Development (ELD) levels. For example, newcomers (students who are new to the country) or level 1 students would need images, sentence starters, word banks, and so on, while level 4 students may only require sentence frames. Component 4 allowed me to reflect on my effectiveness as a practitioner. It brought about some strengths and areas of improvement in my teaching. My National Board process this year was an amazing opportunity that I wouldn't have been able to participate in without your help. I won't receive my results until the first weekend in December, and I'm hoping for the best. I will also be taking component 3 next year and hopefully finalizing my NBCT process. Once again, I am extremely grateful for your donation to my project and the chance to experience this.
