Adding this touchscreen monitor has been a total game changer for my small groups. Before, I was stuck either crowding a few kids around my tiny laptop screen or using the main projector to display the lessons from my reading curriculum. The other rotations of students would get distracted and we lost a lot of instructional time. Now, I can keep the focus on the group I'm personally working with. We can work on comprehension, watch a targeted mini-lesson video, or dive into decoding practice. Kids get the lesson that is at their level, right at the table. \r\n\r\nThe students' reactions were so great! The first time I plugged it in, they were wowed and that excitement really gave them a boost. It has been really effective for our small group lessons being able to drag and drop items or interact with the words in a different way. Phonics instruction when you're 13 can be discouraging or frustrating, but having everything up close and personal has been a huge asset. Thank you again for your generous donation. The kids are making progress in their reading journey and I can honestly say you are part of their success stories in the making.","fullyFundedDate":1769177712296,"projectUrl":"project/personlized-learning-in-small-groups/9785273/","projectTitle":"Personlized Learning in Small Groups","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Flores","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-1_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10297600"},{"teacherId":26962,"projectId":9250613,"letterContent":"Since receiving the color printer, our classroom has been transformed. Students immediately became excited when they saw their essays and projects printed in vibrant color—it gave them a tangible sense of pride and accomplishment. In one recent activity, AP Spanish students printed persuasive essays on cultural topics, then displayed them around the room for peer feedback. Students were thrilled to see their ideas shared professionally, and many commented that it motivated them to revise and improve their writing.\r\n\r\nThe printer is now an essential tool for daily learning. Spanish 1 students use it to create colorful vocabulary posters, visual projects, and cultural presentations, making abstract language concepts concrete. Looking ahead, we plan to incorporate more multimedia projects, such as research-based brochures and class magazines, so students can continue developing their writing, creativity, and language skills. This project has truly empowered them to take ownership of their learning and celebrate their progress.","fullyFundedDate":1746551036321,"projectUrl":"project/learning-en-espaol-from-ideas-to-ink/9250613/","projectTitle":"Learning en Español: From Ideas to Ink","teacherDisplayName":"Dr. Ochoa-Rivera","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp26962_orig.jpg?crop=2208,2208,x372,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1723063038817","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/drochoa"},{"teacherId":26962,"projectId":9141681,"letterContent":"Thanks to your generosity, our project has made a powerful impact. The donated materials—pads, liners, and tampons—are now available in our classroom, and our students know they can access them discreetly and without shame.\r\n\r\nThe first day the supplies arrived, I placed them in clearly labeled baskets in a private space. One student saw them and whispered with a smile, \"Gracias, Dra... esto de verdad ayuda.\" That simple moment said it all. For these young women, it's not just about hygiene—it's about dignity, support, and feeling seen.\r\n\r\nSince then, students have quietly used what they need, and some have even taken a leadership role in helping to restock and organize the supplies. This act of care has sparked important conversations in our class around health equity and confidence.\r\n\r\nFrom all of us—thank you. You've done more than just fund a project.
