I am also the P.E./Health teacher in our little school and this was a great way to incorporate personal hygiene into making a bar of soap and taking care of our bodies at home. After we let these cool for the day students were lining up to get into my room to grab their soap and take it home. I heard this morning that one of the parents even wanted to use the soap after finding out how well the project went with her daughter.\r\n\r\nNone of these projects would be possible without your support. The children could hardly wait to explore everything. These new materials have truly transformed our dramatic play area into a lively, joyful space where students can use their imagination and creativity every day.\r\n\r\nWe are using the new resources to help students learn through pretend play while building important social and language skills. Students work together to decide who will be the chef, baker, or customer. They create menus, take orders, prepare meals, and serve each other pretend food. This type of play helps them practice sharing, communication, and teamwork. It also encourages problem-solving when they decide how to split jobs, what to \"cook,\" and how to make sure everyone has a turn.\r\n\r\nOne of my favorite classroom moments so far has been when we opened our \"classroom restaurant.\" The students named it \"The Happy Pizza Café.\" They worked together to design a sign, set up tables, and make pretend pizzas and cakes to serve. Some students even wrote little menus and decorated the restaurant with paper flowers. During this activity, the children practiced counting as they added \"toppings\" to their pizzas, used fine motor skills as they served food, and used rich language while pretending to be waiters and chefs. It was a wonderful mix of creativity, learning, and teamwork all at once.\r\n\r\nThanks to these new materials, our classroom feels even more alive and full of imagination. The play kitchen, pizza, and cake sets have given students a joyful way to learn, cooperate, and express themselves. Every day, I see them grow more confident and creative. I was able to get a new Science app for my Middleschool classes. One way to motivate them was to incentives them! With your donation I had a whole box full of exciting things my students loved. Most kids were able to gain some prize from their hard work. \r\n\r\nHaving prizes even for middle schoolers made a huge difference. Just announcing that these prizes would be used made all of the scores on these Science programs just explode.
