I teach first grade and my students are emerging readers and are eager to read books at a level that they can read. The supply of books that I have on my shelves is not enough to provide material throughout the whole year at their level. These books will be used for students to learn to read independently. Our students participate in a program called AR and earn points for reading. My students are going through the material that I have very quickly and they need more books at their level so that they can continue to meet their reading goals.
