With your help we were able to purchase a classroom set of boomwhackers. Boomwhackers are colorful tubes that are pitched to the musical scale and play when tapped on the floor or your hand. This allows for a variety of fun activities, most notably my students have loved doing K-Pop Demon Hunters play alongs! I look forward to incorporating these into future assembly performances as well. So far, we have used it to celebrate student birthdays (kids play how many years old they are turning) and we have used it to enriched our soundscapes that accompany Haikus generated by students. I look forward to incorporating the gong into performances, in particular I would like to do a Lunar New Year Assembly and the gong will surely play an important role.
