As part of our Service Stars initiative to \"Spread Kindness,\" students will use these materials next school year to organize a bilingual cultural celebration that honors our school's unsung heroes—custodians, cafeteria workers, bus drivers, ESE and ESOL assistants, and other essential support staff. The project will give students the chance to design heartfelt cards, decorate event spaces, and prepare personalized tokens of appreciation, all while practicing their language skills and embracing cultural expression.\r\n\r\nEven though the celebration is planned for next year, students were thrilled when the materials arrived. They've already begun brainstorming ideas and planning how to make the event truly special. This project has inspired conversations around gratitude, empathy, and the importance of community service. As we head into the new school year, the Festival de Gratitud will be one of our first major projects—one that brings the school together and allows our students to shine as leaders of kindness. In our Spanish classes, we've seamlessly integrated technology into every lesson, from interactive vocabulary posters to student-created cultural presentations. Before, projects that required vibrant visuals or detailed maps were limited by our ability to print only in black and white, which made our materials less engaging. Now, with full-color printing, students can design eye-catching infographics, photo-rich cultural brochures, and authentic-looking travel itineraries that bring the Spanish-speaking world to life right here in Orange Park High School. This booster in visual quality has noticeably increased student participation: learners who were once hesitant to share their work now beam with pride when their creations look as bright and professional as those they see in real-world contexts.\r\n\r\nWhat truly excites our students is the immediacy and ownership this technology affords them. Instead of settling for grayscale handouts, they can draft, revise, and print their work on the spot—whether it's a Persuasive Essay about bilingual education illustrated with full-color graphs or a Día de los Muertos poster with vivid graphics and authentic imagery. This hands-on experience is helping them develop not only their Spanish language skills but also essential digital-literacy and design competencies. Your support isn't just giving us ink and paper—it's empowering a generation of 21st-century learners to express themselves creatively, think critically, and connect more deeply with the global Spanish-speaking community. ¡Mil gracias!","fullyFundedDate":1745847034162,"projectUrl":"project/printing-our-way-to-success-colorful-le/9110787/","projectTitle":"Printing Our Way to Success: Colorful Learning for Our Students","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. ZACHARY","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8548330_orig.jpg?crop=1128,1128,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1658898057583","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8548330"},{"teacherId":8548330,"projectId":9058849,"letterContent":"I am thrilled to share with you the significant impact your generous support has made in our classroom. The addition of headphones with mics and a new desk computer chair has transformed our learning environment. These tools have been instrumental in enhancing student engagement and participation, especially during language lessons where clear communication is crucial. The headphones, in particular, allow students to listen to language exercises without distractions, improving their pronunciation and listening skills. Additionally, the comfort provided by the new chair has made extended learning periods more manageable, which is essential in maintaining focus and productivity.\r\n\r\nThe technology you've helped provide has been especially beneficial to our students who thrive on interactive learning. One student, in particular, has shown remarkable improvement in her language abilities. She was initially hesitant to participate in oral exercises, but with the personal space and clarity provided by the headphones, she has become one of the most active participants. This technology not only supports our curriculum but also instills a sense of confidence in our students, empowering them to participate more freely and effectively.","fullyFundedDate":1739376312795,"projectUrl":"project/unlock-potential-transforming-our-spani/9058849/","projectTitle":"Unlock Potential: Transforming Our Spanish Classroom for Success","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. ZACHARY","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8548330_orig.jpg?crop=1128,1128,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1658898057583","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8548330"},{"teacherId":9726662,"projectId":8734427,"letterContent":"I cannot thank you enough for your very generous donations.
