Your support has helped us create a more inviting and conducive learning environment. The students and I genuinely appreciate your support in our efforts to make our school's atmosphere more welcoming and functional. This project has impacted not only the academic success of our students by allowing them a comfortable yet still functional workplace; it has also just brought them joy.\r\n\r\nI have seen an increase in the utilization of the Media Center by the Dual Enrolled students since completing this project. The chairs rarely remain empty for long. I did not anticipate that the space would become not only a place for comfortable independent work but also for collaboration on group projects and homework help. Our classroom received new stools and cushions that allow all students access to flexible seating. Flexible seating allows for students to sit anywhere in the room and work where they choose. One of the ways they use the flexible seating most is when working with a partner or in a group. Students are able to spread out and find other places to work other than their desks. They also use them throughout the day when working independently, during STEM time, and during daily centers. \r\n\r\nMy students were so excited when we received our new materials. They immediately wanted to use them and have been using them everyday since. Our class is so very thankful and seeing the excitement on their faces was such a fun experience. \r\n\r\nGoing forward my students will continue to use these daily whether they are working on their own, with a partner, or in groups. They will continue to use the stools and cushions during partner reading, math challenge days, independent work time, daily centers, and more.
