Our group of kids are learning many skills in our time together. One thing we try to teach is pride and organization of our space. \r\n\r\nEach area of our classroom is color coded. The colored buckets help us to keep this up. The colored buckets also help our children learn what toys go where to keep our classroom an organized space for learning.\r\n\r\nWe are teaching self help skills every day. The tissues and wipes help us to encourage the children to clean their hands and face when dirty. During the winter months in our class room wipes and tissues get used in abundance.\r\n\r\nThe paper towels help us keep our tabels clean. The tissues and wipes will help keep the students clean and healthy while encouraging independence.\r\n\r\nThe buckets allow us to keep materials picked up in and organized way. I label the buckets with photos so students are aware of where supplies go. We also color code each area of the room with the different colored buckets. With these supplies we can continue to work on hand strength used in writing. \r\n\r\nThe markers we recieved will allow me as a teacher to stay organized with all the children's paperwork. With your help we were able to purchase much needed supplies for our class. \r\nWe use playdough every week. While it may look like just playing we are learning skills such as following directions, and improving hand strength used in writing and coloring. We were able to get birthday crowns to help us in celebrating children on their special day. These crowns get their name and age on them to take home to share with family. Some of our students have a strong desire to chew or put objects in their mouths. With these chew necklaces we can fulfill their needs to chew with a safe alternative. The color ink allows me to print our center signs in color.
