Your generosity has helped us create such a cozy, welcoming space—soft lighting, comfy reading spots, and bright \"All Are Welcome\" signs that truly reflect the spirit of our room. The students are already so excited about the new books. Graphic novels make big feelings and important topics easier to talk about, and they invite even our most reluctant readers to jump in. It's been amazing to see how naturally these stories spark thoughtful conversations.\r\n\r\nBecause of you, our classroom feels even more like a safe haven where students know their feelings matter. They're connecting with the characters, opening up about their own experiences, and showing more empathy toward one another. Using microscopes is one of my students' very favorite activities- and mine too. Having high quality microscopes to see incredible details of microscopic organisms, our own cells, and even everyday objects like newsprint literally opens up new worlds for them.\r\n\r\nI think part of the attraction is that they feel like authentic pieces of science equipment - they look (and are) expensive! But my science classroom is not a traditional 'lab'-type class. It doesn't have a sink, and has few outlets. Because of this, using microscopes has always been stressful- I have extension cords running all over my room, and I'm always worried that students will trip and those expensive microscopes will hit the floor. \r\n\r\nThe cordless microscopes are a HUGE improvement! I can let them charge overnight, and then have no tripping hazards to worry about. I am sending photos of my students enjoying looking for tartigrades during a recent lunch time (since I am teaching physical science this year, I won't use microscopes for my science class curriculum until next year, but we were anxious to try them out).","fullyFundedDate":1757725915976,"projectUrl":"project/zooming-in-to-science/9698416/","projectTitle":"Zooming in to Science","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Desmond","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9938790"},{"teacherId":10389291,"projectId":9968241,"letterContent":"As an SLP-A, I've seen this technology greatly support students' speech and language goals by making practice more interactive, visual, and motivating.
