This is all thanks to our amazing donors and Donor's Choose! The class was so excited to explore the various activities. As the materials started arriving, the class was absolutely bubbling with excitement. I've already been able to create a class set with the materials that have been sent so far. When the remaining supplies come in I will be able to make even more boxes so that students have a large variety of choices. \r\n These boxes will provide more opportunities for me to differentiate. When a student finishes their work early they will have the option to pick a box. My classroom has a diverse group of students with very different needs and with your help, I'm able to meet those needs. \r\n\r\nMy students struggle to communicate their feelings and furthermore, they struggle to identify what to do with those feelings. The social-emotional resources we have help them immensely! The feelings chart helps the students to identify how they feel with a visual. The students pick a picture to show how \"I feel..\" and it also shows \"I can\" to give the kids options such as a break, a hug, a walk, etc. One of my students uses this resource often to communicate how he feels. \r\n\r\nWe also use the Express Your a feelings sensory jars to help the kids communicate their feelings. The feelings coin drop is a quick way to check how the kids are feeling. \r\n\r\nThe book shelf has also been a hit with the kids and I've been able to organize books in a better fashion to pull so I can read them with the kids. The spinning feature provides easy access to all the books. \r\n\r\nMy kids use the stepping stones for a sensory break throughout the day and they love using them. \r\n\r\nThe dry erase boards have provided a way for the kids to practice their writing. We also use the boards to write sentences for the kids to copy! \r\n\r\nWithout your support, we would not have these resources for the kids to utilize. Instead of being confined to traditional desks, students now have the freedom to choose from a variety of seating options—such as stools, wobble cushions, floor spots, and low tables—which allows them to work in ways that best fit their learning styles. This choice has empowered them to take ownership of their learning, build independence, and feel more in control of their environment. The classroom atmosphere has shifted to one that feels more collaborative and welcoming, creating a space where students are excited to learn each day.\r\n\r\nThis change has also had a positive impact on behavior and focus. Students who once struggled to stay on task in standard seating now have options that help them regulate their energy and attention, whether they need movement, a quiet nook, or a place to spread out their materials.
