My paraprofessional and I also sit with the students to show them how to properly play with the toys. It has been an amazing experience. Now, each child can sit with their feet flat on the floor and their arms resting naturally at tables that are the right height for their size. This simple but powerful change has created a more supportive and functional learning environment.\r\n\r\nThe impact has been immediate and noticeable. During fine motor activities-like cutting with scissors, coloring, building with small manipulatives, or practicing pre-writing skills-children show better posture, improved coordination and greater focus. I placed command hooks on each desk and put my students headphones, letters, and other materials that students use daily to help them stay organized at their desk. After each use, their headphones go back in their bags and their bags go back on the side of their desk. I love seeing my students pick a book over Lego's or magnets.
