Their faces absolutely lit up as soon as they walked in the door. Since then, they've loved having their own special spot on the rug. We line up by the color of the smiley face they sit on. They have a turn-and-talk partner that sits on the spot next to them. Their most favorite thing to do on the carpet is pokey pin papers. This is where we take push pins and poke holes on a template paper to form designs like pumpkins or Christmas trees. This is only possible because of our carpet since you can't do it on tile floor. They also love a comfortable spot to lay down and work on their i-Ready app on their ipads. \r\n\r\nThe carpet is an integral part of our Kindergarten classroom and sets the stage for much of our learning.
