We used this book to look at the author's word choice and how it helps us as readers to create a mental image to understand the message of the text. \r\nAnother book we analyzed was The Wild Robot by Peter Brown to help us understand how the setting of a story effects the events and conflicts that arise within a text. \r\n\r\nWe have enjoyed expanding our knowledge & understanding of how to tell why an author writes a text.
