The timer is a classroom favorite for managing centers and encouraging time management, and the fidget toys are quietly supporting students who need movement to stay focused. You all have blessed not only my classroom, but the NC Pre-k classroom here at Northwest. When we opened up the boxes in the classroom their reaction were priceless. Everyone was screaming and clapping when they saw me pull out those orange cap and gowns. They were like \" Mrs. Holloway we get to wear those!\" I replied \"yes\". They were so happy that they were going to look nice like some of their older sibling looked for their high school graduations. It was such a heart felt moment. \r\nWhat really topped the cake was when I opened up the box that had the Caps for Sale books inside. Immediately my class started yelling, \"Caps for Sale yeaaaa!\" This was one of our favorite books from our Kindergarten Literacy Program that we use to help introduce students to books and reading. \r\nWith the the cap and gowns that were donated I was able to have a graduation program for my parents and students. The parent's were so happy that they were able to see their little graduates in cap and gowns. In the past this was not available for the classroom room teachers' to use. Due to your donations, there is now a set of cap and gowns that will stay at the school to be used for many, many years. The Cap's for Sale Books that was donated I was able to use in class as apart of program to introduce reading and I was able to bless my student's with the book as a gift so that they are able to continue to read it over the summer with their parents. The joy those little plush gifts sparked was truly heartwarming. Though small in size, the impact was huge. I had mentioned previously that I had a special gift for them. The keychains quickly became treasured items, bringing comfort and a sense of ownership that's especially meaningful in a high-needs school community.\r\n\r\nSince then, the keychains have become more than just cute accessories, they've become quiet sources of comfort for students throughout the school day. During tests and high-stress moments, many students hold onto their keychains or keep them nearby to feel a sense of calm and reassurance. One student said \"I keep mine in my desk during math tests, it helps me not feel nervous.\"\r\n\r\nIt's incredible how something so small has helped create a more comforting, supportive classroom environment.
