We have been working through basic line drawing techniques, pencil shading techniques, and are currently working on acrylic paint mixing! The students have really grown in their abilities and often surprise themselves in how much they've improved in their skills! I love the look on their faces when they realize how much better they are getting with drawing and shading skills. This has also been a great opportunity for them to work on perseverance. There has been quite a bit of frustration with learning different skills and even starting projects over. In this face paced world where they are so used to instant gratification, it has been a challenge for them to slow down and take the time to work on techniques to produce cleaner, higher quality work. Watching students work through the challenges and seeing satisfaction and pride in their faces is priceless!
