Thanks to your support, our learning environment has been completely transformed, and the excitement in the room is palpable. We are truly blown away by your kindness and commitment to our students' education. Your donation has provided us with resources that will benefit our students not just this year, but for years to come, and we are so grateful for your belief in our work.\r\n\r\nOne of the most significant changes we've made is the expansion of flexible seating. If you were to walk into our classroom today, you'd see students learning in ways that best suit their needs. Some are collaborating on a project at a low table with floor cushions, while others are quietly reading on a wobble stool that allows for small movements, helping them stay focused. The flexible seating options, including standing desks and ergonomic floor seats, give students the choice and agency they need to take ownership of their learning. It's truly amazing to watch them find their ideal space, which in turn leads to improved concentration, better collaboration, and a more engaged and energetic classroom community. The rigid rows of desks are a thing of the past, and our students are thriving in this new, dynamic environment.\r\n\r\nYour donations also allowed us to acquire a new collection of STEAM tools, which have opened up a world of hands-on discovery. STEAM, which stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math, is all about fostering creativity and problem-solving. Our students are now using new coding kits to program small robots to navigate mazes, building sturdy bridges with new engineering sets, and exploring the principles of physics with magnetic building tiles. These aren't just toys; they are tools that teach critical thinking, resilience, and teamwork. The students love the challenge of designing, building, and refining their creations, and it's a joy to see them approach a problem from multiple angles, learning that it's okay to fail and try again.\r\n\r\nYour generosity is more than just a donation; it is an investment in the future of these bright young minds. You have given our third graders the chance to learn in a space that supports their individual needs and to use tools that will prepare them for a world that values innovation and creative thinking. We feel so fortunate to have you as a partner in our educational journey. Thank you once again for your incredible support.","fullyFundedDate":1744646703393,"projectUrl":"project/classroom-redo/9245907/","projectTitle":"Classroom Redo","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Knauer","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-8_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/knauer"},{"teacherId":9322260,"projectId":9037281,"letterContent":"When our new flexible seating arrived, the energy in the classroom shifted immediately. My students lit up with excitement as they explored the variety of seating options—yoga balls, wobble stools, cushions, and floor desks. They were eager to try every spot and quickly began gravitating toward the choices that best supported their focus and comfort. One memorable moment was during a math workshop: a student who typically struggles to stay engaged chose a wobble stool, and for the first time, he remained focused and completed an entire problem set with enthusiasm. It was a powerful reminder of how the right environment can unlock potential.\r\n\r\nWe've been using our new seating daily across all subjects, and it has transformed our classroom into a more student-centered, collaborative space. Whether working in pairs on a math task, hands-on science experiments, or brainstorming ideas for a morning journal, students feel empowered to choose where and how they learn best. The flexible seating has encouraged ownership of their learning and improved classroom behavior and engagement. The seating options will continue to play a crucial role, allowing students to collaborate in ways that feel natural and productive for them.
