The bean bags have helped create a comfortable and calming environment where students can regulate their emotions, refocus, and return to learning ready to succeed.\r\n\r\nWhen the bean bags first arrived, my students were incredibly excited. Many of them immediately noticed how soft and inviting the space felt. One student shared that sitting on the bean bag helped them feel \"calm and ready to think again.\" For students who sometimes feel overwhelmed, having a cozy place to pause has made a big difference.\r\n\r\nWe now use the Calm Corner during transitions, independent reading time, and when students need a short break to practice self-regulation strategies. The bean bags make the space feel safe and welcoming, encouraging students to use the area appropriately to reset and return to their work.\r\n\r\nOne special moment happened during our reading time when a student who often struggles to stay focused chose to sit on the bean bag while reading. They stayed engaged with their book longer than usual and later shared their thoughts during our discussion with confidence.\r\n\r\nNext, we will continue integrating the Calm Corner into our daily routines as we work on social-emotional learning, self-management, and independent reading. This cozy space supports students in developing the skills they need to stay focused, manage their emotions, and build positive learning habits.\r\n\r\nThank you for helping create a classroom environment where students feel supported, comfortable, and ready to learn.
