Our new Classroom Library and Listening Center is a highlight of our classroom. The children love to snuggle up and explore the new books. They also are really enjoying our new Tonie's Box. They were so excited to see it in our classroom. They are able to use it independently, which they really love. \r\n\r\nThe expansion of our classroom library has allowed the children to learn to use and appreciate books. They have more opportunities to explore books and to learn to use them correctly. The children have also grown more confident in asking and answering questions about the books they are reading. They have also began retelling the stories themselves to their classmates. These are all skills that we focus on in our Pre-K classroom. \r\n\r\nSome of the favorites from the new books that we received are the Pigeon Books and the Pete the Cat Books. They think the Pigeon Books are hilarious and gravitate toward them every time. I have been able to utilize these books as part of our whole group learning time as well as during small group, one on one time.
