Often times they have extra sensory needs that can not be met during class time. The boat, ball, blanket, and other supplies generously donated have helped my students have a place to get their needs met without missing important educational time. These items are exciting to them, so they are more willing to ask for a sensory break. They utilize the tools for a few minutes, and are able to return to group without leaving the room or becoming frustrated.\r\nAs a first year teacher, your help came when it was needed most! My district is amazing at supporting needs, but your donations helped my sensory room vision to be met. While there is a wonderful sensory room on our floor, our students need support to visit it. This results in missing group time, and at times would be a bigger issue for the students leaving the room. I appreciate the chance you have given me to meet my student's needs where they are, and for the help it provides each of them every day.
