One of the most popular activities has been open-ended building and engineering time. The kids were so excited when the supplies arrived—especially the magnets! It was such a joy to see their faces light up as they explored the possibilities. One special moment was when a group of students worked together to build a creation altogether. Not only did they problem-solve together, but they also encouraged one another through every step.\r\n\r\nThey were over-the-moon excited to get the materials!Students from other classrooms even ask if they can come in and use the materials—they're that engaging. It's been amazing to watch how these resources spark creativity and joy.\r\n\r\nNext, we're going to start designing our own \"invention stations,\" where students can choose a challenge (like building a bridge, designing a marble run, or creating a simple machine) and work in teams to bring their ideas to life. It's not only building academic and STEM skills—it's also strengthening social-emotional learning as they collaborate, take risks, and support one another.
