These activities transformed our gym into an exciting, immersive learning environment that motivated students of all ability levels to participate, collaborate, and stay active.\r\n\r\nGlow Golf introduced students to skill-building, teamwork, and problem-solving in a fun, low-pressure setting. The glowing equipment created instant excitement and helped students stay focused while practicing coordination, accuracy, and sportsmanship. Many students who are typically hesitant to participate became eager and confident, showing increased engagement and joy in physical activity.\r\n\r\nCosmic Bowling allowed us to take learning even further by integrating science and literacy into PE. With the donated supplies, I was able to paint the tops of the bowling pins to represent the planets. Classroom teachers supported the experience by sharing space-themed books and posters, which helped students make connections between physical movement and scientific concepts. As students bowled, they learned about the planets, their order, and unique characteristics—turning PE into a cross-curricular experience that blended movement, science, and imagination.\r\n\r\nOverall, these donations helped create memorable, inclusive, and educational experiences that went far beyond traditional PE lessons. Students were not only physically active but also curious, engaged learners who were excited to move, explore, and learn together.","fullyFundedDate":1765328836533,"projectUrl":"project/snow-glow-golf/9952253/","projectTitle":"Snow Glow Golf","teacherDisplayName":"Teacher Coach Jeni Ham","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp3555067_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1723678360113","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/3555067"},{"teacherId":5478566,"projectId":9819173,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous support of our DonorsChoose project. During rock band practice, the panels have made a huge impact on our ears, allowing students to play, listen, and collaborate more comfortably and safely. The improved sound environment has helped students focus on making music rather than battling overwhelming noise.\r\n\r\nIn addition to the sound panels, the new personal lap whiteboards have been a wonderful creative tool for my students. They love being able to draw, write, and map out their musical ideas as they create songs together. The whiteboards have encouraged collaboration, experimentation, and confidence, giving every student a space to share ideas and contribute to the creative process.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has directly enriched our music classroom and made learning more enjoyable and effective for our students. Being able to print directly in my room is so convenient and allows me to quickly prepare things for my students. At my school, we do not have a color printer that we are able to use. I have always either had to pay to have things printed in color at Staples or print it at home and bring it to school. Neither of those options are ideal. \r\nI love to have my students do engaging center activities to practice the skills that they have learned. These activities can easily be found online and printed and then used again and again. Having the color printer in my classroom allows me to quickly print these activities so that I can use them right away. \r\nI just received the printer yesterday and I have already began using it! Because of your kindness, our learning environment has transformed into a space filled with creativity, engagement, and joy. The new centers you helped fund—Play-Doh, fishing, and reading—have quickly become the highlight of our students' day. It has been incredible to watch them rotate through each activity with excitement, curiosity, and a renewed eagerness to learn.\r\n\r\nThe Play-Doh center has been especially magical. Students are now able to build shapes, form letters, create stories, and strengthen their fine motor skills in ways that simply weren't possible before. Our fishing center has also been a huge hit, giving students a fun way to practice problem-solving, teamwork, and hand-eye coordination while they \"catch\" letters, numbers, or themed pieces tied to our lessons. And our new reading center has already made such a difference—students can now settle into a cozy, inviting space with books they love, helping even our more reluctant readers find stories that spark their interest.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has done more than simply supply materials; it has created opportunities, boosted confidence, and brought fresh joy to our classroom. Your generosity has created a truly meaningful upgrade for our students.\r\n\r\nFor years, our band has been using a drum set I found on Facebook Marketplace—an old, mismatched collection of parts that we kept running with tape, extra bolts, and a lot of patience. My students never complained; they were just grateful to play. But I always wished they could experience what it feels like to perform on a real, high-quality instrument.\r\n\r\nBecause of you, that wish has become a reality.\r\n\r\nThis drum set has been used every single day: in our rock band rehearsals, general music classes, small-group lessons, and after-school sessions. For many students, this is the first time they've had access to professional-level gear, and it's already boosting their confidence, motivation, and pride in what they can accomplish.\r\n\r\nThank you for investing in our students' creativity, joy, and future.
