For my students at North Little Rock High School, this is more than just hardware; it is a tool for self-discovery.\r\n\r\nBecause of your support, our dancers now have the daily ability to use this technology to record choreography, critique performances, and create original work. It has opened doors for our students—many of whom come from at-risk backgrounds—to edit dance films, record auditions, and participate in virtual masterclasses that were previously out of reach. You aren't just providing technology; you are providing the hope and resources they need to succeed.\r\n\r\nYour gift has inspired us to continue striving for excellence. With the MacBook Pro, we were able to run QLab which has become an industry-standard program used in professional theatre to manage sound, music, and video cues for our very first production after receiving the laptop. During our dance concert, every cue was run from this computer, allowing students to organize, test, and execute their work with confidence and precision. The workflow was faster and far more intuitive for them than what we had used before.\r\n\r\nWhat excited students most was how quickly the technology made sense. They were able to build cue stacks, adjust timing, and problem-solve in real time. These skills mirror professional theatre environments. Several students who had struggled with cue execution in the past are gaining confidence as they see how efficiently their ideas could come together using the right tools.\r\n\r\nBeyond performances, the MacBook Pro has already transformed our design process. Students used it for scenic design work on \"Radium Girls\", researching, downloading assets, and preparing files for cutting and modeling with ease. The speed and reliability of the Mac has changed our creative workflow in ways we didn't fully anticipate. Your support elevated our program and empowered students to work like real designers and technicians.","fullyFundedDate":1762692540571,"projectUrl":"project/designing-the-stage-where-art-meets-tec/9874245/","projectTitle":"Designing the stage: Where art meets tech!","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Klucher","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9363536"},{"teacherId":9820931,"projectId":8911697,"letterContent":"The funding of this project went an incredibly long way. We're still experiencing so many opportunities for learning about scenic paint, and our students are growing more and more. We used the resources to create a larger-than-life lion for The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe. We designed and painted an ice-world for the setting of Narnia. We gave the characters of Mr. and Mrs. Beaver a home made of wood. \r\nOur students were astonished at the arrival of our new materials. They immediately began diving into the materials and exploring how to work with new items like the moldable clay.\r\nWe are off to bigger and bolder projects this year, and we cannot wait to see how your support continues to strengthen the future of our students.","fullyFundedDate":1731812603379,"projectUrl":"project/staged-for-success-scenic-paint-and-co/8911697/","projectTitle":"Staged for Success - Scenic Paint and Construction","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Klinger","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9820931"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_54339","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":1650,"numTeachers":156,"percentFrplEligible":89,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":57,"percentWhite":23,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":13,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"10.6:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_SMALL"},"inStateSupporters":67.7,"schoolId":54339,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about North Little Rock High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"North Little Rock High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/arkansas/north-little-rock-school-district/north-little-rock-high-school-west/54339"}
