During our snack time, students practice important skills like sharing, patience, and gratitude while enjoying a treat together. \r\n\r\nWhen the snack donations first arrived, the excitement was contagious. My students were amazed to see the boxes and loved helping sort and organize everything. We have a class snack helper (one of our classroom jobs) and they enjoyed choosing the snack for the day. The class asked where these boxes came from, and we were able to have a teachable moment on donors & how people donate to help their community.\r\n\r\nAs we continue through the school year, these snacks will support our learning in so many ways. A full tummy helps growing brains focus during reading, writing, and math lessons. Right now, we are working on building stamina during small group instruction and independent practice, and having consistent snack time helps students stay energized and ready to learn.
