Our department's theme this year is \"This is our Roaring 20s\" and thanks to your contributions, we were able to add extra festivity to our performances and our students were able to learn about creating immersive theatre.\r\n\r\nOur department has grown over the last 5 years from only a handful of students involved to a rotating cast and crew of over 30 students involved in our productions. Our small budget barely covers the 5 events a year we do including a fall show, a haunted house, a winter/holiday show, a spring one act play, talent show, and short play fest. It is thanks to donors like you that we can supplement our supplies including props, costumes, hair and makeup supplies, and other expendables.\r\n\r\n\r\nCreating immersive theatre is a big part of the future of performing arts. From innovative theatre pieces like Sleep No More, to immersive art installations like Meow Wolf, the arts landscape is changing to offer audiences more engaging experiences than ever before. Our students learned the amount of work, detail, and planning necessary to create such an experience and impacted dozens of other students from our regular classes and our Functional Life Skills SPED department who got to see our show!
