Those two instruments were not in playing condition, so we sent them in with the hope that the two students would be able to overcome their obstacle with normal clarinets. Normal Bb clarinets require the covering of holes with their finger tips, but unfortunately these two students have very tiny hands. This made clarinet difficult for them to perfect. Once they return from the shop the students will finally be able to go to play their instruments confidently. That wouldn't be possible without this donation! Playing on good equipment insures that the students feel and play successfully. The students were very excited when receiving their new neck straps, ligatures, and or harnesses! Right now the projects is benefiting about 10 students, however every year new students will get to use the purchased materials. \r\n\r\nThe neck straps are already providing our students with comfort. The students were using non padded straps which were really starting to take a toll on their necks. The students sound way better with ligatures that aren't missing screws or snapping in half. Lastly, our baritone saxophone player can now have the weight of her saxophone distributed around her body rather than solely her neck. \r\n\r\nAgain I would like to express my gratitude towards all of you. My students deserve to have great equipement and you made that possible!
