I seriously cannot say thank you enough.\r\n\r\nThrough the entire project of hatching chicken eggs in our classroom there were so many wonderful things the kids got to learn about. Bringing Ag into the classroom is one of my passions and this project made that possible. Our first ag lesson we learned was the difference between a store bought egg and a fertile egg that we can incubate. \r\n\r\nThroughout the project students were in charge of checking on our humidity and water levels daily. They also helped with candling eggs to determine if they thought they were developing or if they were a \"dud\" (kids words). \r\n\r\nWe started out with 24 eggs in our incubator and when we got to the final stage we still had 20 in the incubator. We ended up with an amazing hatch of 17 chicks!
