The new resources—snacks for my students—have made a bigger impact than you might expect.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the snacks available in the classroom, their faces lit up with surprise and genuine joy. Many of them asked, \"Are these really for us?\" It was a powerful moment that showed how even small comforts can make a big difference in their day. Some students who are usually quieter became more engaged, simply because they weren't distracted by hunger.\r\n\r\nWe've been using the snacks in a very intentional way. For example, during a recent group project on ecosystems, students were working together over a few class periods. Having snacks available gave them the energy and focus they needed to collaborate more effectively and stay on task longer. It also built a sense of community—they shared, took turns, and checked in on each other to make sure everyone had something.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we're continuing to work on a research and presentation project where students are exploring issues related to sustainability and food security. Having snacks on hand allows them to stay fueled during research and brainstorming sessions, and it's even sparked some thoughtful conversations about food access and nutrition.\r\n\r\nThanks again for helping make our classroom a place where students feel supported, cared for, and ready to learn.","fullyFundedDate":1709257642553,"projectUrl":"project/snackity-snack/8138565/","projectTitle":"Snackity Snack!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Qader","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9366792_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1700686170533","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9366792"},{"teacherId":3107924,"projectId":8832200,"letterContent":"Your investment to our classroom library with mentor texts for writing was the cherry on top the past months.
