It has become a favorite spot for looking at books and a space to have a calming moment. The kids really enjoy the bright colors and fun design of frogs and butterflies around a pond at night. \r\n Showing the class the new colorful clipboards was so fun also! Watching a kindergartener get excited about writing is an amazing experience for a teacher. Something as simple as a clipboard helps a child grow more confident in expressing themselves through drawings and words. Our kindergarten classroom at Newington Forest is filled with eager learners who love to use a clipboard and work on the floor or to walk around the room with the clipboard. The clipboards provide a stable writing surface for the students. I have seen confidence grow in the class when they can access comfortable places in the class to practice their writing skills. Having a sturdy place to store the clipboards has also been wonderful. It has fostered independence in the class and helped them to use the clipboards responsibly and safely.
