They had been cramped around the smaller table for so long, and now they love having the room to spread out, organize their materials, and truly focus on their learning.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has made such a meaningful difference in their daily experience, and for that, I am deeply grateful. I've heard stories of students finishing them up in the summer!\r\n\r\nMy students and I are very grateful for your support. We use these on reward days to draw silly challenges and laugh. My students use them throughout the day to help regulate their emotions, focus during lessons, and reset when they feel overwhelmed. One of my favorite moments was seeing a student who normally struggles to stay engaged use a sensory tool to calm down and then return to learning with a smile. These resources have truly created a safer, more supportive environment for all learners.\r\n\r\nThe excitement was priceless! Students immediately wanted to explore everything. They were curious, enthusiastic, and many of them quickly found a favorite tool. For some, it was a calming gadget they could hold during reading, while others loved the movement-based items that gave them a healthy outlet for their energy. Their joy showed me how much they needed these resources.\r\n\r\nThe next step is teaching my students how to use the sensory tools responsibly and independently as part of their daily routines. We're also learning strategies for self-regulation and self-awareness, so they know when and how to use the tools that help them best. I've also been able to share these items with my grade level team, our counselor, and our behavior teacher so even more students can benefit. These resources are making a difference not just in my classroom, but across our school.","fullyFundedDate":1746786379462,"projectUrl":"project/calm-cozy-ready-to-learn-tools-for-f/9110987/","projectTitle":"“Calm, Cozy, Ready to Learn: Tools for First-Grade Success”","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Wood","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9636475_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1737427954834","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9636475"},{"teacherId":9559319,"projectId":8896609,"letterContent":"My students are SO excited to start learning with the use of our new Sphero robots!
