Your generosity means more than I can fully express.\r\nThis project originally aimed to purchase potter's wheels for my ceramics class. Unfortunately, due to rising costs and the current state of the world, the price of the wheels I had selected nearly doubled. DonorsChoose gave me the opportunity to choose alternative materials, and I worked hard to select items that would still bring tremendous value to my students and our creative space.\r\nThanks to your donations, I was able to purchase a laser engraver/cutter, which I'm incredibly excited to introduce to my students. It will allow them to explore new forms of artistic expression and learn valuable technical skills. I also added a slab roller and new glazes for my ceramics students, needle felting supplies for my sculpture students, and canvas boards for my painters.\r\nThese materials are already making a difference. In a year when our art supply budget was cut in half, your support has not just filled the gap—it has inspired creativity, renewed excitement, and made it possible for my students to dream a little bigger.\r\nThank you for believing in the power of art education and for being a part of our journey.","fullyFundedDate":1747339565208,"projectUrl":"project/spinning-creativity-pottery-wheels-for/9136434/","projectTitle":"Spinning Creativity: Pottery Wheels for Young Artists","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Bogue","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9933518"},{"teacherId":3824331,"projectId":9173077,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for supporting this project. The weather has been wonderful the last couple of weeks, and I've taken several classes outside. The small camping chairs worked better than I had hoped for. They were very easy to assemble and pack up and quite comfortable. As an extra bonus, because they are small and light weight, they are easy to store and don't take up much space in my classroom.\r\n\r\nWe have taken the chairs outside to work on math assignments, write essays, and have in depth discussions. Having class outside brings novelty to my students' school day and helps them to be alert and engaged in the lessons. Not to mention the general health benefits of sunshine and fresh air. My students frequently ask to go out, and they thank me for taking them outside. \r\n\r\nYour support is very much appreciated!","fullyFundedDate":1747339645915,"projectUrl":"project/take-our-learning-outdoors/9173077/","projectTitle":"Take our Learning Outdoors!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Sudkamp","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp3824331_orig.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1550855334484","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/3824331"},{"teacherId":7028314,"projectId":9235957,"letterContent":"These books are being checked out from my shelves!! Students are loving the opportunity to read books about Chemistry and how it has shaped our history. We already read the Poisoner's Handbook and have now added Radium Girls and The Disappearing Spoon. All students in my Chemistry classes are required to read these texts. I have students pick out the time of the year they are responsible for reading the text. With reading, comes book talks, projects and discussions that we complete during class. At first, students are confused why I am doing something out of an English class in my Chemistry class. Once the first group gets done with the first round, other students want to \"move up\" on the book schedule because they see how excited the first group was during the project. At the end of the year, we have many classroom discussions about ethics, what is currently going on in the world related to Chemistry compared to what was going on during the time periods these books were set in. \r\n\r\nThank you so much for your support of reading in the Chemistry Classroom!!!","fullyFundedDate":1744226235841,"projectUrl":"project/bringing-chemistry-to-life-through-stori/9235957/","projectTitle":"Bringing Chemistry to Life Through Stories That Matter","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Branham","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-8_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7028314"},{"teacherId":7028314,"projectId":9130673,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for the purchase of Chemistry Lab Supplies. We started using them immediately and the response has been exactly what I hoped for!\r\n\r\nOne class has been working on responding to poetry and literature, and most of my students are engaging more authentically with their reactions. Several students have stated they are glad to be using paper and pencil again instead of computers. Other classes have been working on processing complex texts and summarizing them as a lead-in to critiquing someone else's work. It has been a much-needed reminder of how much they rely on technology to understand what they read and to phrase what they write. \r\n\r\nHaving such a supportive community is essential for our students' success, and hopefully my classes are one step closer to being better prepared for college or the workplace.","fullyFundedDate":1733006958128,"projectUrl":"project/writers-notebooks-low-tech-and-loving/8965338/","projectTitle":"Writer's Notebooks - Low-Tech and Loving It","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. McCallister","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp3335684_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1533154193577","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/msmccallister"},{"teacherId":7028314,"projectId":8007308,"letterContent":"Thanks to the generous support from 3M, my students now have an incredible new way to explore the world of chemistry.
