Because of your generosity, our students were able to do much more than earn their NCCER Core certifications—they applied their skills through a meaningful, real-world construction project.\r\n\r\nUsing the donated materials, students worked together to design and build a roof over our outdoor lunch deck. This project gave them hands-on experience with measuring, framing, teamwork, tool safety, and construction techniques while creating something that will have a lasting impact on our school community. The completed roof now provides much-needed shade so students can enjoy a more comfortable outdoor space during lunch.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials first arrived, the students were excited to know they would be using the same types of tools and supplies found on real job sites. They quickly realized this wasn't just another classroom activity—it was an opportunity to develop career-ready skills while building something that everyone at our school would benefit from. Watching their confidence grow as the project took shape was one of the most rewarding parts of the experience.\r\n\r\nThis project is just the beginning. As students continue their construction pathway, they will build on the skills they learned by completing additional hands-on projects, strengthening their craftsmanship, problem-solving, and teamwork. They have been taking orders from staff and family members where they will continue to utilize their skills. Our goal is to prepare students not only to earn industry-recognized credentials like NCCER and OSHA-10, but also to graduate with the practical experience and confidence needed to succeed in high-demand careers.\r\n\r\nYour generosity provided our students with more than materials—it gave them an authentic learning experience, a sense of accomplishment, and the opportunity to leave a lasting legacy on our campus.
