This means no more struggling to hear or distractions from shared or malfunctioning equipment — just clear, uninterrupted learning and testing experiences.\r\n\r\nEqually important, your support has helped us provide snacks that keep students energized and focused during long testing periods. It may seem simple, but a nutritious snack can make a world of difference in helping them stay sharp and confident throughout the day.\r\n\r\nYour kindness has made a meaningful impact on students who show up every day eager to learn, despite the challenges they face. Some students had a surprised look on their face, while others had curious eyebrows and were wondering, what would that look like in our art studio? \r\n\r\nAs the boxes were being delivered, students were anxious about what project material would look like and how would it affect them during their art studio time each week. They were excited and rambunctious with glee and anticipation. The next week we took to having an unboxing event, where each student was able to unboxed an easel for them to use that day. Students were excited and curious about how the pieces would go together and how it would work for them as an art tool, as nearly all of my students had never had the opportunity to use a real art easel in their lives. \r\n\r\nAs students figured out how to brace the easel on their table and place their artwork on the flat surface, students proclaimed things like 'this is awesome!', ' now I feel like a real artist!', ' hey Mrs. Ward, isn't this what like the real artists in the world use?', ' this makes coloring so much easier at a high angle!', ' I wish we had these back when we did our fall project!', ' how did they (our amazing donors) know that we needed this?!' , ' I think I can work a lot better now with the paper up like this where I can see it!'. \r\nThe our studio fell silent as students honed in on their coloring and painting of their artwork, using the new easels that our amazing donors had just supported our young and varying artists with. Our artist range in ages from 5 to 12 with a very diverse background of families, and home life, and school is very often their number one constant. For our students to be able to express themselves using adequate and correct tools and support items regardless of other factors, giving them the accessibility to express themselves is priceless. ' Thank you' does not cover the excitement and gratitude on behalf of my hundreds of students and myself that use these art easels daily. \r\nThank you for seeing and understanding the need and making this magical donor ship happen for our hundreds of students!!","fullyFundedDate":1733198692646,"projectUrl":"project/accessible-art-studio-easels/8645006/","projectTitle":"Accessible Art Studio Easels","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Ward","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9268229_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1723547802880","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mrswardsartstudio"},{"teacherId":9306060,"projectId":8506450,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous donation. Chrome books are used each day in my classroom and having these headphones available for each student makes our classroom much more quiet and calm. Students are now able to use their device while other students are being taught in small groups without causing a distraction. \r\n\r\nSince the headphones have arrived students have been able to listen to stories read by fluent readers. They have been able to play games that allow them to practice skills that will improve their reading and math. They have even gone on virtual fieldtrips to help them better understand topics we explored during social studies.\r\n\r\nNow that we have headphones available for every child in the room the most exciting part for my students is that they are able to explore and create on their own. Students are so excited to be able to create slides to present with their teachers, parents, and peers. Students who struggle with reading love being able to discreetly listen to stories that their peers are reading on their own. \r\n\r\nThe headphones have made students feel more comfortable, have helped make the classroom a calmer working environment, and have also given students more opportunities to learn.
