Thanks to your support, we now have incredible new resources for reading and phonics, and they have already made a profound impact in our classroom. Every day, I see the excitement on my students' faces as they engage with these materials, and it has truly transformed their learning experience.\r\n\r\nWe use these resources in a variety of ways, including during independent stations and small group instruction. They have helped create a more structured and engaging environment where students can build confidence and develop essential literacy skills at their own pace. It's incredible to watch them interact with these tools, applying what they've learned in ways that challenge and excite them. I've seen students who once hesitated to read aloud now eagerly participate, sounding out words with newfound confidence.\r\n\r\nOne of the most rewarding parts of this journey has been witnessing my students' growth as independent readers. Many of them started the year struggling with basic phonics skills, and now, thanks to the resources you helped provide, they are making remarkable progress. The look of pride on their faces when they successfully read a new word or complete an activity on their own is absolutely priceless. These moments of success build not only their reading abilities but also their overall self-esteem and love for learning.\r\n\r\nBeyond academic progress, these resources have also fostered a deeper love for reading in our classroom. Books and literacy activities are no longer intimidating for my students; instead, they have become something they look forward to each day. I've noticed a shift in their attitudes—students are more eager to explore books, more willing to take risks in their reading, and more enthusiastic about learning. Seeing them support and encourage one another as they navigate new reading challenges has been truly heartwarming.\r\n\r\nYour kindness and generosity have given my students the opportunity to succeed in ways that would not have been possible without your support. Because of you, they now have access to high-quality learning materials that meet their needs and help them thrive. Your contribution has not only provided essential educational tools but has also inspired a love for reading that will benefit them for years to come.\r\n\r\nOn behalf of my students and myself, I want to extend my sincerest gratitude. Your support has made a lasting difference in our classroom, and we will always be grateful for the impact you have had on our learning journey. Thank you for believing in our students and for helping to create a brighter future for them through the power of literacy.","fullyFundedDate":1733354689729,"projectUrl":"project/making-learning-fun-again/8871564/","projectTitle":"Making Learning Fun Again!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Salyer","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8508485_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1714839578555","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/salyerschampions"},{"teacherId":8508485,"projectId":8737125,"letterContent":"The books that have been purchased for our classroom have made a huge impact on us. The student really enjoy the Spot of Emotion boxed set. It really help explain the different emotions and why we may feel that way. We love the Spots of Emotions book friends that go with each emotion. \r\n Our Pete the cat books are also very popular! Pete the Cat and His Four Groovy buttons turned into a great math lesson. We used the story to take away Pete's buttons and write subtraction number sentences. Our National Geographic books will come in handy soon when we learn about animals, caterpillars and the life cycles. The \"I can read\" Books about Biscuit the dog are already a favorite in Kindergarten and after Christmas we will use those to jump start our Accelerated Reading Program. There were so many great titles we received from our project and it is hard to explain how excited we are to have them for our classroom. We are so very thankful for your generosity and kindness in helping getting this project funded.\r\n We also received really big book bins from the project and they have been a huge help on keeping our library nice and organized.","fullyFundedDate":1727952770803,"projectUrl":"project/ms-salyers-amazing-library/8737125/","projectTitle":"Ms. Salyers Amazing Library","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Salyer","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8508485_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1714839578555","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/salyerschampions"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_11930","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":180,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":53,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":8,"percentWhite":75,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":12,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 6","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_DISTANT"},"inStateSupporters":82.5,"schoolId":11930,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Neches Elementary Junior High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Neches Elementary Junior High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/neches-independent-school-district/neches-elementary-school/11930"}
