Many of our students don't like to read, at least this is what I'm seeing more and more of. The summer is a bleak time for some of our students and reading is not on top of the priority list.\r\nI'm seeing and hearing that technology is taking over, and more students are filling their time with online gaming, tablets, and of course television.\r\nThe simplicity of just playing outside, or coloring is not a custom any longer, instead it is a rarity.\r\n\r\nTherefore, we all appreciate your love of reading and through your donation we were able to purchase books, coloring books also, snacks and crafts. These days were informative, relaxing and fun!\r\nThe students really enjoyed sharing a snack with their siblings and friends.\r\nAlso, the crafting was something new and informative for the students. It's something we don't get to do anymore during the schoolyear, so summertime crafting was a big win!!\r\n\r\nI know that the parents enjoyed getting the students out of the house and participating in a learning, activity and fun based event.\r\n\r\nKeep up the great work you're doing by providing learning opportunities for others.
