We received glue sticks, dry erase markers, play-doh, animal stickers, paint sticks, and writing tools like markers, crayons, and pencils. These materials have quickly become part of our daily routines, supporting both independent learning and whole-group instruction. \r\n\r\nIn science, students used Play-Doh to create detailed insect models. They carefully built body parts, counted features, and explained their thinking using science vocabulary. In math and phonics, dry-erase markers are used daily for practicing number formation, letter sounds, and word building. \r\n\r\nIn writing, crayons, markers, and pencils have helped students complete journals, stories, and end-of-year memory books that they are very proud of. Paint sticks were used in our science and art integration lesson, where students designed shells during our study of snails and shell sorting. This allowed them to explore patterns and textures while strengthening fine motor skills. Your support has made it possible for every student to fully participate, stay engaged, and end the year feeling successful and proud of their learning.","fullyFundedDate":1778162219875,"projectUrl":"project/restock-to-finish-strong/10220664/","projectTitle":"Restock to Finish Strong","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Gerard","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp990360_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1450665447122","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/990360"},{"teacherId":970313,"projectId":9565519,"letterContent":"I was surprised and thrilled when I found out that my project for my students was funded! Your generosity helped provide creative materials for the Kinders in Room 506 to learn with joy and excitement!\r\n\r\nThis group LOVES to create! Since they arrived, I stocked the \"Creation Table\" with all the materials. The colored pencils, mini markers, twistable crayons, construction paper and glue sticks are used everyday! These materials allow the students to express themselves in different ways!\r\n\r\nUsing the dry erase markers, the children demonstrate their thinking on their whiteboards throughout the day. The playdoh became monsters while the tissue squares became colorful fall leaves. Each time they are used, different creations are constructed. This inspires the next engineer with their creation. While working in pairs, conversations consist of problem-solving and collaboration. My students quickly learned that puzzles aren't just about finding the right piece-they're about helping a friend, celebrating small successes, and sticking with a challenge until the picture comes together. They especially loved the thrill of racing against the Perfection timer, squealing when the pieces popped, and cheering for each other's victories.
