Because of your generosity, our therapy space is now filled with engaging tools that help students learn how to understand their feelings, communicate their needs, and interact positively with others.\r\n\r\nWe have already begun using many of the materials during small-group speech and language sessions. The conversation cubes, emotion games, and social scenario cards have been especially helpful during activities where students practice identifying emotions and talking about real-life situations. One memorable moment happened when students used the talking Tic-Tac-Toe game to practice turn-taking and conversation. Students who are usually quiet became excited to share their thoughts and answer questions, and their peers listened and responded thoughtfully. It was wonderful to watch them build confidence while practicing important communication skills.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the new materials, they were incredibly excited. The colorful sensory tools and games immediately caught their attention, and many students asked to try them right away. The fidget tubes and emotion activities have also been very helpful for students who need calming supports during sessions. The materials make learning feel like play while still helping students practice important social and language skills.\r\n\r\nMoving forward, we will continue to use these resources during lessons focused on emotions, empathy, and problem-solving. Students will practice identifying the size of problems, responding appropriately to social situations, and expressing their feelings using words. We will also use the books and puppets to act out scenarios that help students understand kindness, empathy, and perspective-taking.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has given our students tools that will support their growth not only in speech and language, but also in their ability to connect with others and navigate social situations. Thank you for believing in our students and helping create meaningful learning opportunities for them.","fullyFundedDate":1762986286568,"projectUrl":"project/speaking-from-the-heart-learning-compas/9466877/","projectTitle":"Speaking from the Heart: Learning Compassion Through Communication","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Sonia","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8365118_orig.jpg?crop=1241,1241,x0,y380&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1724876137811","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8365118"},{"teacherId":8360298,"projectId":9603524,"letterContent":"I have to express my deepest gratitude for funding our equipment, and providing for our game balls. It can be difficult to get as there are other priorities in purchasing equipment using our school funds. So you're help in this matter is deeply appreciated.\r\nOur teams are going to be using the best, in terms of equipment. This leads into our self worth; to have quality equipment that is not easy to get. We managed to use our last game balls since 2020, when covid affected how to play our games. It was very odd and weird to play with masks and no spectators.\r\n \r\nThe highlights of the game ball, was when we used it for the first time, and the awe or excitement of the athlete's reactions were remarkable. I feel that many knew of the brand and to see that our team has one, is what led to the reactions. Possibly from both teams, home and away, but I can't be certain of that. \r\nFrom all of us here at Nadaburg, thank you and God bless.","fullyFundedDate":1763154059599,"projectUrl":"project/revitalize-our-schools-sports-teams/9603524/","projectTitle":"Revitalize our School's Sports Teams","teacherDisplayName":"Coach Williams","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8360298_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1657264378583","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8360298"},{"teacherId":8658603,"projectId":9225509,"letterContent":"My students have been using their resources to create art projects and express their selves through art.
