I wanted to share a little more about how these new novels are making a difference in our learning community.\r\n\r\nMany people love reading books, but teaching with novels allows us to go much deeper. Through these stories, students are learning how to identify themes, analyze characters' motivations, and track how characters change over time. We are practicing making inferences using text evidence, comparing perspectives, and discussing complex topics like empathy, courage, fairness, and resilience. These books also give us meaningful opportunities to build vocabulary and strengthen writing skills through thoughtful responses and personal reflections.\r\n\r\nReading in our classroom is an active and engaging experience. Sometimes I read aloud while students follow along, and you can truly feel the room become still as everyone listens closely. Other times, students read independently or in small groups and then come together for rich discussions. They turn and talk with partners, ask thoughtful questions, and often make connections between the story and their own lives. It is incredibly rewarding to see them so invested.\r\n\r\nSeveral students in particular have really blossomed with these new books. One student who was previously hesitant to participate now eagerly raises their hand to share insights about characters' choices. Another student who struggled to stay focused during reading time has been completely absorbed, often asking if they can keep reading just a few more pages. Watching their confidence grow has been one of the most meaningful outcomes of this experience.\r\n\r\nYour donation has done so much more than provide books—it has helped create excitement, deeper thinking, and a stronger love of reading in our classroom. When I received the notification that our project had been funded, I was overwhelmed with gratitude and excitement, not only for myself but especially for my students. Every day, I see how much of a difference your kindness is making in our classroom, and I want you to know how deeply we appreciate your gift.\r\n\r\nThe books you provided are already bringing so much joy to my students. Many of them come from homes where access to books is limited, and to watch their eyes light up when they get to pick out something new to read is truly priceless. You didn't just give us books, you gave my students the opportunity to fall in love with reading, to explore new worlds, and to see themselves in the stories they hold in their hands.\r\n\r\nThe P.E. equipment you made possible has also transformed the way we approach physical activity in our school day. For many of my students, P.E. is their favorite subject because it gives them a chance to move, release energy, and build confidence in themselves. Before your gift, our resources were very limited. Now, with the new equipment, my students are able to practice teamwork, sportsmanship, and healthy habits while having fun. The laughter, energy, and determination I see on their faces each time we use the equipment is something I wish you could witness in person. \r\n\r\nThe classroom supplies you donated, like glue sticks and dry erase markers, might seem small compared to books and sports equipment, but I promise they are essential tools that help learning come alive. Every day, my students use these supplies during group projects, hands-on activities, and lessons at the whiteboard. Having fresh markers that actually write clearly or glue sticks that don't dry out makes a big difference in how smoothly our classroom runs. These supplies make them feel prepared and valued, which is a gift in itself.\r\n\r\nOn behalf of my entire class, I want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart. You've given us resources that will continue to make an impact long after this school year, and I am so grateful that you chose to support us.
