Helping students recognize their emotions and then gain good strategies for controlling their emotional state has been wonderful. Especially for students who have had trauma in their past or difficulty with emotional outbursts, these books can help them move through an emotionally charged moment, use calming strategies, and move forward with their day. They have also been helpful for students to recognize how others are feeling.
