This may seem like a simple tool, but for my students, it has already made a meaningful difference.\r\n\r\nMany of my students struggle with math fluency, multi-step problem solving, and confidence in their abilities. Before receiving these calculators, we often had to share a small number of outdated devices. That meant lost instructional time, frustration when calculators malfunctioned, and increased anxiety for students who already doubt their math skills. Now, every student has consistent access to a reliable TI-30XS calculator, which has completely changed the flow of our classroom.\r\n\r\nIn Algebra and Geometry support classes, students are using the calculators daily to check their work, solve multi-step equations, calculate exponents, and work with fractions and square roots. Instead of getting stuck on basic computation, they are able to focus on understanding the concept behind the problem. I have already seen students who would normally shut down stay engaged because they feel equipped to try.\r\n\r\nOne moment that stood out happened during a recent lesson on solving systems of equations. A student who typically avoids participating raised his hand and said, \"Wait, I think I did it right.\" He had used his calculator to carefully work through each step and verify his solution. That small moment of confidence was huge. He was proud of himself, and his classmates noticed. Those moments build momentum.\r\n\r\nThese calculators are also helping my students prepare for Georgia Milestones assessments and other state testing situations where calculator familiarity matters. Having access to the exact same model consistently reduces test anxiety and increases independence. For students with IEP accommodations, this tool supports their ability to access grade-level content with dignity and confidence.\r\n\r\nYour donation did more than provide calculators. You provided access, equity, and confidence. You helped create a classroom environment where students feel capable instead of overwhelmed. In our school, we talk about believing and achieving. Because of you, my students are doing both.\r\n\r\nThank you for investing in my students and in the future they are building for themselves. Your generosity truly makes a difference every single day.\r\n\r\nWith sincere gratitude,","fullyFundedDate":1764683871727,"projectUrl":"project/multiply-opportunities/9698352/","projectTitle":"Multiply Opportunities","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Miller","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-1_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10248540"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_50217","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":1068,"numTeachers":59,"percentFrplEligible":75,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":65,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":32,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"18.1:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"TOWN","ncesMetroType":"TOWN_FRINGE"},"inStateSupporters":50.0,"schoolId":50217,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Murray County High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Murray County High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/georgia/murray-county-school-district/murray-co-high-school/50217"}
