Your generosity has made a meaningful difference in the daily lives of my second grade students.\r\n\r\nBecause of your donation of baskets, books, a beautiful rug, and soft cushioned pillows, our classroom now has a cozy reading and relaxation corner that the students absolutely love. What was once just a small area in our room has now become a special place where students can slow down, enjoy a book, and take a peaceful moment when they need it.\r\n\r\nEvery day, students carefully choose a book from the baskets, settle onto the rug or pillows, and become completely absorbed in their reading. Some students visit the space to explore new stories, while others simply need a quiet moment to recharge before continuing their learning. This small corner has quickly become one of the most loved places in our classroom.\r\n\r\nOne student recently said, \"This is my favorite space! I feel like reading at home.\" That simple comment perfectly captured the comfort and joy that your donation has brought to our classroom.\r\n\r\nYour kindness has helped create more than just a reading area. You have helped create a warm, welcoming environment where students feel relaxed, supported, and excited about learning. Because of your support, my 4th grade students now have math manipulatives that are helping them truly understand fractions. Your donation has made it possible for students to learn in a hands-on way, and I am so grateful that you chose to support our class.\r\n\r\nWe are currently working on finding equivalent fractions, and the manipulatives have made a huge difference. Instead of just looking at numbers, students are able to build and compare fractions using the pieces. They can see that 1/2 is the same as 2/4 or 4/8 by placing the pieces side by side. This hands-on experience has helped students make important connections and deepen their understanding.\r\n\r\nDuring math centers, students use the manipulatives to explore and solve problems together. These have quickly become a favorite part of our math time. Students are engaged, having conversations about their thinking, and supporting each other. I have also used the manipulatives during small group intervention to help students who need extra support. Being able to see and touch the fractions has helped build their confidence and understanding.\r\n\r\nOne of my students recently said, \"Oh, it's the same size!\" while comparing two fractions. \r\n\r\nThank you again for supporting our classroom. Your support has allowed us to provide meaningful resources that directly support our students' social and emotional growth. These books have quickly become an essential part of our daily instruction and classroom environment.\r\n\r\nThe SEL books now serve as anchors for our lessons, making abstract concepts more engaging and tangible for students. Through stories and relatable characters, students are able to better understand and practice important skills such as empathy, self-awareness, and self-regulation. One book in particular, I Have Ants in My Pants, has been an impactful resource during our lesson on self-control, helping students recognize and manage their energy and impulses in a positive way.\r\n\r\nWe have also added these books to our classroom calming corner, where students can independently read and reflect when they need time to process their emotions. Your thoughtful support has helped create a learning environment where curiosity is nurtured, creativity is encouraged, and every student feels empowered to express themselves.\r\n\r\nReading in our classroom has truly transformed. It's no longer just about reading the words on a page—it's about sharing experiences, making connections, and exploring new ideas together. With the addition of these new books, our students are discovering exciting stories that spark their imagination and challenge them to think in new ways. The markers give them the freedom to visually express their thoughts, whether through drawing, note-taking, or collaborating on projects with their peers. It's such a joy to watch their excitement as they work together, discuss the books, and create their own ideas through art and writing.\r\n\r\nWe've also seen some truly heartwarming moments with students who, in the past, may have struggled to find joy in reading. Now, they're diving into books with enthusiasm and sharing their thoughts with the class. One student, who once avoided reading altogether, is now so excited about a new book that they can't wait to tell their classmates all about it. Their new love for reading is inspiring to us all, and it's moments like these that remind us just how powerful these resources are in shaping a student's educational journey.\r\n\r\nThank you from the bottom of our hearts Bezos Family Foundation for making all of this possible.
