I wanted to share the incredible impact your donation has had on my students.\r\nAlthough I knew how I planned to use the world map rug, it has exceeded my expectations. This year, our school adopted a new curriculum called Bluebonnet, which includes many stories and lessons about places around the world. Because of your gift, I can gather my kindergarten students on the rug and show them exactly where those places are, making our lessons much more meaningful and engaging.\r\nThe rug has become much more than a place to sit. It is now one of our favorite teaching tools. My students love finding countries, continents, and oceans, and they are always excited to \"travel\" to new places through the books we read. Their curiosity has grown, and they are asking more questions about the world around them.\r\nThank you for helping create a classroom where learning comes alive. Your kindness has made a lasting difference, and my students and I are truly grateful for your support.","fullyFundedDate":1750774705426,"projectUrl":"project/where-in-the-world-is-our-classroom/9253207/","projectTitle":"Where in the World Is Our Classroom?","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Hatley","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-1_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9997701"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_12499","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":613,"numTeachers":45,"percentFrplEligible":81,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":5,"percentWhite":59,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":29,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":4,"gradesServed":"Pre-K - 4","studentTeacherRatio":"13.6:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_REMOTE"},"inStateSupporters":75.6,"schoolId":12499,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Mount Vernon Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Mount Vernon Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/mount-vernon-independent-school-district/mt-vernon-elementary-school/12499"}
